A Weekend of Culture and Connection

Last weekend, Brooklyn came alive with the Planet Brooklyn Fest, a two-day celebration of music, culture, and community across Fort Greene and Downtown Brooklyn. From the stages at Barclays Center, BAM, and the Brooklyn Paramount to the block parties along Flatbush Avenue, the festival brought together thousands of people to honor the borough’s creative spirit.

The lineup was nothing short of electric — from Machel Montano and his all-star soca crew to Daymé Arocena’s soulful performance at BAM, and bold sets from Ludmilla, CupCakKe, Junglepussy, Mykki Blanco, and more. Beyond the music, The Village market featured over 120 local vendors, offering everything from food and coffee to clothing, jewelry, and art — a true showcase of Brooklyn’s entrepreneurial heartbeat.

Planet Brooklyn was more than a festival; it was a reminder of what makes this community so powerful: connection, creativity, and culture. At MACHINE, we believe in amplifying the energy of events like these because they represent the same spirit that drives us — pushing limits, coming together, and celebrating the people who make our neighborhoods thrive.
